Northern Knights was formed in 2013 and became a Twenty20 team in 2017.[1] They played their inaugural Twenty20 in the 2017 Inter-Provincial Trophy against Munster Reds.[2][3] In total, 35 players have appeared in Twenty20 cricket for North West Warriors, with three players.

Greg Thompson is Northern Knights leading run-scorer in Twenty20 cricket, aggregating 375 runs.[4] Gary Wilson and Greg Thompson's score of 80, scored in 2018 is jointly the highest individual score by a Northern Knights batsman,[5] while Christopher Dougherty has the team's best batting average of 42.00.[6] Among the bowlers, Shane Getkate has more wickets than any other, claiming 28 wickets,[7] while he has also the best bowling figures for Northern Knights in an innings picking up 5 wickets against North West Warriors in the 2019 Inter-Provincial Cup.[8]
