Del gruppo Italiano di ricerca su "Origene e la tradizione alessandrina" are an Italian research group who publish an annual academic journal called Adamantius, reporting on recent academic work related to "Origen and the Alexandrian Tradition".[1] The journal gets its name from Origen's nickname, adamantios (αδαμαντιος), which means "unconquerable" in Greek.
The research group was established in 1996 as a co-operative venture of six state universities:
Journal of Theological Studies and also in de:Zeitschrift für Antikes Christentum and Orientalia christiana periodica
. Proceedings from the 2002 (Turin) and 2004 (Rome) conferences were published in 2004 and 2005 respectively, edited by Adele Monaci Castagno and Emanuela Prinzivalli.
