Before the arrival of "Aryans" to south India, Ezhavar/ Thiyyar caste ruled the South Indian region, and also treated as a very higher social class, more than that of "Aryans". These people are the founding fathers and excellent developers of the martial art "Kalarippayattu", even though some Aryan castes trying to posses the dignity by recently practicing it.This is the shameless method to posses other people's assets and not different from theft...( the reason may be greed,jealous or envy ). When they (the Aryan Castes and some other castes who claims now they are upper castes) came to South India around 2000 years ago, The Martial Art- Kalarippayattu had been practiced here in south India for an another thousands of years as fully developed even to it's all martial weopen methods. And for the North Indians, still it is a strange Art.
