This user account is a bot that uses Python, operated by Ceradon (talk). It is used to make repetitive automated or semi-automated edits that would be extremely tedious to do manually, in accordance with the bot policy. This bot was previously approved but has since been retired, and therefore shouldn't be making edits that appear to be unassisted except in the operator's or its own user and user talk space.

3	(approval here) Date maintenance tags on articles. The bot searches Category:Wikipedia maintenance categories sorted by month for articles that need to be dated. It trawls through the actual text of pages using an insanely powerful Python wikicode parser made by The Earwig. There are several ways Cerabot knows to date templates: If the template has no `\|date=` parameter at all, of course. In this case it just adds the current date in MY form. If the template has a date in it's parameters but the parameter name is `\|1=`. If a parameter `\|date=` exists, but the value of the date parameter is empty. If the date in the `\|date=` parameter is in an incorrect format (i.e. MDY, DMY, YMD, YDM, etc). It will change these automatically to the correct "MY" form needed.	approved 3/3/2013	Addshore	Active
