I have a Ph.D. in physics from UCSB, December 1971. I have worked in experimental nuclear physics basic research, instrumentation and sensors, electromagnetic computation and engineering, communications engineering, software and digital hardware development, data visualization, systems engineering and numerical methods. I am becoming interested in teaching high school physics.

I have long been concerned about over-population and over-consumption of energy. I am interested in small cars both in terms of conservation and for sport. I own a 1962 Lotus Super Seven and a 2001 Honda Insight. I have a small knife collection. I am interested in social sciences, and there are and have been several psychotherapists in my family.
