Steven Universe (character)

Steven Universe is a main character in the hit original Cartoon Network TV show Italic text Steven Universe . He is the main protagonist of the series. Steven is based on of the creator, Rebecca Sugar's childhood with her brother named Steven. He lives in the Crystal Temple in Beach along with Pearl, Garnet and Amethyst. Steven has been in every episode so far of the series.

Steven is a 10 years, during the period when the series takes place, Steven's father is a person called Greg Universe who date his mother before most of the series takes place; Steven's mother was Rose Quartz, whom was the leader of a rebellion against the planet from which Gems come from which is known in the series as Homeworld.

Throughout the series Steven has shown he has better control over his Gem powers than he once did, as of "Sworn to the Sword" he can freely summon his shield at will now, using it more often than his bubble shield, but it is shown in " Friend Ship" that Steven can only summon his shield 3 times per day without getting tired. In "Watermelon Steven" he accidentally activated his mothers ability to control plant life by spitting out watermelon seeds in a watermelon eating contest with is dad and the seeds grew into living watermelons overnight, in "Indirect Kiss" he has Healing saliva but as of "House Guest" he couldn't use this power.

Steven is generally a happy child, he isn't seen getting angry often in the series, he has sympathy for everyone including for Peridot, a Homeworld gem. This Seems to be a trait of his mother, Rose Quartz
