In Search of a Song was originally created after a conversation between Jason Wilber and Rich Reardin in 2005. Jason was introduced to Rich through a recommendation by a member of

disk jockey type of interview. The show made use of Jason's familiarity with many world class musicians through his own career as a journeyman guitarist touring internationally with John Prine. Jason Wilber suggested the name In Search of a Song in deference to one of his favorite musicians, Tom T. Hall (who's record In Search of a Song [[3]
] was one of Jason's favorite albums).
