Ivan enjoys an international reputation for his research on the history of British and European cuisine. He is not only a scholar, announcer and writer, but also a gifted professional chef and confectioner. He is especially famous for recreating the food and table environment. His works have been exhibited in many museums, including the Paul Getty Institute, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the London Museum, the Fairfax Tower, the Bowes Museum and the Rothschild Collection. Ivan is an enthusiastic educator who teaches extensively in Britain and throughout the United States. He also offered unique practical courses on regular cooking, many of which were conducted in a historic kitchen in his own home, a 17th century farmhouse on the edge of the British Lake District.
