Dr. Mahendra Singh is an esteemed academician and seasoned professional in the field of Sociology, holding the position of Professor and Head of the Department of Sociology at Gokul Global University. With a wealth of experience spanning nearly two decades, Dr. Singh is also recognized as a Career Coach within the university's Career Counselling Cell.
Dr. Singh's academic journey is marked by notable achievements. He successfully cleared the UGC-NET Examination in 2003 and subsequently obtained his doctoral degree in Sociology from Mohan Lal Sukhadia University in 2007. His commitment to academia led him to take on diverse roles, including serving as the Dean of the Department of Humanities & Social Sciences at Madhav University from July 2015 to June 2020, where he also assumed additional responsibilities such as Proctor, Dean of Student Welfare, and Dean of Academics. Following his tenure as Dean, Dr. Singh took on the role of Controller of Examinations at Madhav University until April 2022.
Prior to his leadership roles at Madhav University, Dr. Singh served as the Principal of J R College, Pindwara, from 2006 to 2014, demonstrating his capability in administrative and educational leadership.
Dr. Singh's academic contributions extend beyond administrative roles. He has actively participated in teaching and research throughout his career. During his doctoral studies, he engaged as a Guest Lecturer at Mohan Lal Sukhadia University from 2003 to 2006. Dr. Singh is also an accomplished author, with publications including the book "Jan Sanchar Madhyam" by Pankaj Publications, Jaipur, along with co-authoring two other books titled "Foundations of National Development" and "Bhartiya Paridrishya Me Rashtra Vikash Ki Dishayen."
His research endeavors further underscore his dedication to advancing the field of Sociology. Dr. Singh has an impressive record of publications, including eight research papers in national journals and fourteen in international journals. Additionally, he has actively participated in academic conferences, having attended seventeen international conferences and thirty-four national conferences. Dr. Singh's commitment to continuous learning is evident through his participation in twenty-one workshops and Faculty Development Programs (FDPs).
Dr. Mahendra Singh's influence extends beyond his own research pursuits, as evidenced by his supervision of six PhD scholars and his current mentorship of six research scholars. His multifaceted contributions to academia, spanning research, teaching, administration, and mentorship, position him as a respected figure in the field of Sociology.
