Camp Beaverton is a Burning Man theme camp founded in 2007.

History

Camp Beaverton was founded in 2007 by sex-educator Reid Mihalko at the request of a friend who complained about having a hard time finding lesbians on the Playa. Mihalko created Camp Beaverton: A Home for Wayward Girls, to be a place where queer women could meet, camp, and find community.

The inaugural year, the camp was comprised of 14 women, with dozens more visiting.

Camp Beaverton is famous, both on-playa and off for the Strap-on-a-thon, an all women-identified play party.
