NewsLook is a privately held

online video syndicator
that offers customizable video solutions through its proprietary technology and content library featuring 80+ premium video providers.

Founded by News Producer and Documentarian Fred Silverman in late 2009, NewsLook began as a portal to access the best short form factual programming from around the world. This unique approach to curation was honored in the News category by the

Webby’s in 2010.[1]

In 2012, the company began working with subscription information services like LexisNexis and publishers such Gannett to deliver this high quality video content to their sites.[2]

Since then, the company has developed a number of technology and content offerings to make video simple for publishers and syndication services. The company now curates its offerings and has developed a proprietary workflow to extract metadata from video, enhancing searchability and discovery.[3]

At the start of 2013, The Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) CODiE Awards selected NewsLook as the “Best Video Platform for Media & Publishers.”[4]

NewsLook is based in the Times Square neighborhood of New York City and employs nine full-time staff.[5]
