Well I don't believe I have broken any of those rules because I copied source from other Wiki pages, available for famous bands like Nine Inch Nails and Mindless Self Indulgence, and I used that source for model, which I strictly followed. Could it be that a user has deleted the article, or can only moderators delete them? Also, I'm still not sure why they deleted the pictures I have uploaded (album covers to which I hold the rights). -bg_sparx

The best way I know of is to catch them on newpages. If they get missed there, they can easily slip through the cracks. Lots of users do Random article patrols- just click on Random article in the left toolbar, read the article that comes up, and if it needs help, wikification, referencing, copyediting, or just plain deletion, do whatever is needed, or tag it with a maintenance tag. -FisherQueen (Talk) 16:24, 12 May 2007 (UTC)

'Stub' just means 'really short.' It's unrelated to whether an article is

Maybe, instead of creating new articles, you could get used to the way Wikipedia works by helping improve existing articles. I am not sure if this is how I respond to you but I figured it was. I don't take it personally at all, actually, to the contrary I appreciate it. As I said in my arguement for deletion I wanted this deleted as soon as I found out about it, the last thing I want to be known as is some of the things these things not me as. I tried removing all the info about me as soon as this went up about a year and a half ago and someone restored it. I am nobody terrificly noteworthy, I let that boat sail a long time ago so I could take up lost causes before fading into the palpably obscure and I like it that way.
At any rate, keep up the good work, it looks like you are doing a great job and I am sure many people appreciate it.

FYI, the bucking horses stuff is in fact verifiable, as modern "rough stock" in the US and Canada are well fed (they wouldn't buck worth a darn if they were starving), they do get vaccinations and other vet care (or they wouldn't legally be allowed across state lines), and they do in fact work 10 seconds a day (because that's how long the rodeo cowboy has to stay on), but given that I haven't the time to deal with it, I just let it stay out, particularly if it avoids an edit war. English-Canadians
"English-Canadian" is short-hand for the preferred "English-speaking Canadian". Language politics are huge in Canada, especially in areas where English- and French-speaking Canadians cohabit. I probably could have figured that out using my logic... but I was emphasizing my ignorance of Canadian politics in response to the article creator's apparent belief that the only reason people might have to support deletion was that they were biased against him for reasons of Canadian politics. I've seen Americans assume that the whole Internet is American before, but I don't think I've ever seen a Canadian assume that all of Wikipedia is Canadian. deleting links and content
Rocklibrary.com is a good source for music information. I linked Melissa Etheridge, Gavin DeGraw and Eric Clapton because there is a lot of good content at rocklibrawry.com that people would be interested in. ME and GD did national contests with the Rock & Roll Library and visited schools with them to promote education through their music. That is relevant and should not have been deleted from either artist's wiki entry. The lesson plans based on those artist's songs are also at rocklibrary.com for free download which I think fans would be interested in seeing so I linked to it. As I said on your talk page, Wikipedia's
spam guideline just doesn't permit anyone to come here just to promote their own web site, no matter how good that web site is. If it's really so good, suggest it on the article talk page, and then you won't be in violation of the guideline that tells us not to ever link to a site that we are affiliated with. That helps keep Wikipedia unbiased, which is part of the point of the wiki. -FisherQueen (Talk

No, I wasn't planning on restoring anything to those bios- it was all about the Rock and Roll Library, and as I mentioned, coming to Wikipedia to promote your own web site is
strongly discouraged. You could show how much you want to improve Wikipedia's coverage of rock and roll by adding more than just content about your own site to the encyclopedia. For example, Mudcrutch could really use a complete rewrite. -FisherQueen (Talk

I'm not from the Rock & Roll Library, I just know about it and think it's a really cool source. How would it be different if all I did was add info about Gavin DeGraw, would you think that I'm him and delete that too? I don't know anything about mudcrutch so it doesn't make any sense for me to write about them! Is that how wiki works, you tell volunteers what to add even if they have no knowledge? Thanks anyway. Interesting article on wikipedia in wikipedia, are you who they're talking about under Criticism and controversy? oh, and thanks for the link to the talk page. Oh, you're under no obligation to take my writing suggestions. If I sound at all hostile, it's only because you aren't the first person, or the hundredth, to come here just to promote a web site, and not very many of them are interested in staying to help build the encyclopedia.
