New article checklist

Whether you have created a few articles or hundreds, it’s easy to overlook some of these important steps in the new article creation process:

  1. Avoid creating orphans or dead ends
  2. Use an
    infobox template

  3. Search Wikimedia Commons for images — use {{commons}}
  4. Include citations — use {{reflist}}
  5. Find latitude and longitude, as appropriate — use {{coord}}
  6. Add
    DEFAULTSORT
  7. Assign meaningful categories
  8. Include the most specific Brazilian stub tag possible
  9. Create an interlanguage link to the corresponding ptwiki article
  10. Create redirect pages, if needed
  11. Create a Talk page with talk header and WikiProject template(s)
