Hello everyone. I am a professional writer and science educator, as well as a devout follower of the Wikipedian ideal of unbiased, factual organization of information. I've been a relatively inactive editor (almost dormant; see my edit analysis) for a few years and now find myself getting into it.

Some projects I have in mind

Scientists:

A pet peeve I have is that wikipedia has hordes of monstrously long articles on actors, reality TV stars, musicians and other celebrities that deal with the most tedious and non-notable (in a colloquial, not WP:Notability sense) facts, while articles about scientists are so often stub, start, or C-class articles. I find scientist bios especially lacking insofar as discussing the actual scientific work of the subject. I'm currently working on remedying this problem in the articles for:

Lawrence Krauss

Patricia Smith Churchland

And plan on continuing with this work in these articles:

David Sloan Wilson

Robert Trivers

Steven Pinker

Scott Atran

Paul Churchland

Adrian Raine

(And yes I know the Churchlands are really philosophers.) I plan to get to work on these as time allows, all the time remaining carefully aware of the

WP:WEIGHT
guidelines. I'd love help.

Film

To be totally honest my interest in film articles isn't that big right now, but I do have an expertise in the subject (I really, really do) and can be a stickler for quality, so I'll probably be throwing a thing or two into film articles as well.--Grapplequip (formerly LAR) (talk) 08:20, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
