Laishley Park
Laishley Park is located on the second largest harbor in the state of Florida at 120 Laishley Court in Punta Gorda, Florida. The park includes a Veteran's Memorial Garden, children's water fountains, Harbor Scoops, Laishley Crab House Centre (a waterfront restaurant and retail), concert area, event lawn, gazebo, picnic areas, and nature trails that extend from Punta Gorda's Harborwalk. The park covers a total of 17 acres and is located on the second largest harbor in the state of Florida.[1]
Laishley Park also includes Laishley Marina which includes: a public boat ramp, 94 slips, Charlotte Harbor access, premiere fishing, Gulf access, pump out facilities, a mooring field, day dock, retail ship store, day room with shower and laundry, and a rent-able community room. Laishley's fishing pier extends 400 ft.[2][3]
The park is dog friendly but requires a leash at all times.[3]
Laishley Crab House Centre
The Laishley Crab House Centre is Punta Gorda's newest waterfront shopping and entertainment area. The business and shopping complex is located at Laishley Marina, Punta Gorda, Florida and is one of the town's hotspots for entertainment, dining, and shopping appropriate for all ages. The Centre includes: Laishley Crab House (restaurant), Burnt Store Tile and Escrow, Creator's Touch (shopping), Freedom Boat Club, Harborwalk Scoops and Bites, and RE/MAX Anchor Realty. The destination is also located near the major hotels and cultural centers of Punta Gorda. Leases are done through Marina Park Group, LLC.[4]
Charlotte Harbor Event & Conference Center
The Charlotte Harbor Event and Conference Center is located in Southwest Florida at 75 Taylor St. in Punta Gorda, Florida. The staff of the event center can be contacted at 941-833-5444.[5]
Event space spanning 44,000 square feet, a panoramic view of the shore of the Peace River and Charlotte Harbor is provided at the Event Center. The Center provides flexible and multipurpose areas and rooms that can be used for virtually any event imaginable. Service management for events are provided. The Event Center works with events of all sizes and budgets. Event planners, promoters, and food service is offered by service management.[6]
The Center presents private events from sports tournaments to weddings. The Center also presents open public events for all to participate in such as festivals and theatrical performances.[6]
Charlotte Harbor Event and Conference Center is managed by SMG, an entertainment and convention venue management company. The company was founded in 1977 and has managed the Charlotte Harbor Event Center since its opening in January 2009. SMG is managed in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania.[7]
