Bio
Hello, thank you for stopping by my page! I (2002-present) am a 16-year-old high school student participating in running start. I love music. I play clarinet for my high school´s wind ensemble as well as being a drum major for said band. I am also a member of the girls' golf team at my high school.
Wikipedia will be used in my English class. I will use Wikipedia not as a source but as a starting point to branch out to new sources. I will also be making minor edits to other pages when I have advanced in my knowledge of Wikipedia.
Article evaluation
̈ ̈Dog With A Blog ̈ is a show I used to watch in elementary school. As far-fetched as the plotline may sound I still enjoyed watching it in my free time (after homework of course). As a former Dog With A Blog fan, I visited the Wikipedia page and felt that the article didn't do the show justice and needed some work. I found three aspects of it worth commenting on: citation issues, failure to include needed info, and information with no citations.
Citation issues:
After the first five episodes of Dog With A Blog, the original actor for Stan, Kuma, was replaced with another dog due to complications with the owner. As a Dog With A Blog fan, I was upset to find out that Kuma had passed away in 2018. The article does state that Kuma was replaced with another dog in 2012, but the citation for that information takes me to a news article about Kuma's death in 2018, which was well after he had been replaced on the show.
Failure to include needed info:
As I stated in the paragraph above, Kuma had passed away in 2018. Even though this article has a link to an announcement of his death, it fails to include information of his passing in the article. I feel that this is needed in the article seen as it is the original main actor of the show.
Information with no citations:
The article states that Dog With A Blog has been nominated for numerous awards such as: The Kids Choice Awards´ ¨favorite tv show¨ in 2015 and 2016, and the Emmy Awards´ ¨Outstanding Childrens Program¨ award in 2014 and 2016. This information has no sources so it is impossible to know whether or not this is reliable.
Summary:
Overall I think this article is good. It explains the characters very well and included good information about the show. However, there was recent information about the show that needs to be added to the article. There are also some issues with citations that could be easily fixed.
