Hello!
My name is John McMichael and I am a senior Political Science major, with minors in German and Economics at Duke University. I was born and raised outside of Philadelphia, and am enthusiastic about politics and foreign policy. During my study abroad in Berlin, I traveled to 11 different countries and developed a keen interest in foreign cultures and international travel. I have been involved in several organizations on campus, including the Catholic Center, Duke Student Government, and Buzz Rides. To graduate with distinction, I am currently writing an Honors Thesis which studies the impact of the refugee crisis on the German political system. Post-graduation, I hope to join the Navy as an officer.
