Bibliography As you gather the sources for your Wikipedia contribution, think about the following: Is the source from a reliable publication? Reliable publications include established newspapers, academic journals and books, textbooks, and other published sources with reputations for accuracy and fact-checking. Unreliable sources include blog posts and other self-published works, press releases, and social media posts. Is the source verifiable? In order for a source to be considered verifiable, other editors should be able to consult the source. Is the source independent of the subject? Is the source connected in any way to the subject? This is especially important when writing biographies or about organizations. For example, if you were writing a biography, sources like the person's webpage or personal blog would not be considered independent. Is the source primary or secondary? Primary sources include first-hand accounts, autobiographies, and other original content. Wikipedia allows limited use of primary sources, but typically only for straightforward, descriptive statements of facts, and only if they are published and verifiable without requiring specialized knowledge. Secondary sources should be the main basis for a biography on Wikipedia. If you're working on a topic related to medicine or psychology, ensure that your sources follow these special guidelines. If you're creating a new article, consider the following: Ensure that your topic meets Wikipedia's notability guidelines. In order for a topic to meet the notability requirement, you must be able to identify 2-3 sources that are reliable, verifiable, and independent of the subject you're writing about. Finding sufficient sources to establish notability can be especially hard when writing about people or organizations. Sources that are not independent of the subject might be useful additions, but don't count towards the notability requirement. Wikipedia has developed special guidelines for writing about living persons. Please follow these carefully. Proposal

For the article that I am choosing to edit and add onto in wikipedia I have found many sources that are helping me provide detailed and explanatory information. My first source I found provided me with this statement that I then paraphrased; Epidermal hydration parameters are continuously but slightly improved during lipidization. This phrase will be added to the Mechanisms in Action section of my article. It will give more information for what information is provided in the paragraph above. The next source that I found provided me with this statement; "Emollients are products used to soften the skin"; "Moisturizers are products used to add moisturizer to the skin". These two statements are to be added into the leader of my article. They will be placed ion this location because both emollients and moisturizers are talked about in this sections and emollients are then not talked much about again win the article. Another source that I was able to find talks about when choosing a moisturizer what are good additives to look for. "Choose a lotion with plenty of vitamins with a SPF of 15" ; I am then also able to provide specific vitamins that are better to have. This piece will be added to the section "Use", at the very end of the section. I found a source that was able to give me some more information about some other things that are good for your skin. Parabens increase absorption of water into the skin resulting in a smoother appearance. I will add this piece of information to the section labeled: Mechanisms in Action. This will give the readers some more information on other additives they can be looking for when selecting moisturizer. The last source that I have found to being editing my article is a piece that I will be adding to a section that does not have much of fa body to it. The section I will be adding to is: Over Motorization; under Potential health risks. This source will give me information to add about new alternatives to moisturizing routines.
