My name is Landy DeField. I am a FOSS enthusiast who enjoys promoting Free and Open source software for use at home and in small business settings. I first installed GNU/Linux on a computer in 1998 in the hopes of finding a viable alternative to the proprietary offerings. I continued to bang away at trying to put together the ideal desktop computer using GNU/Linux. In 2001 I finally was able to walk away from the proprietary operating systems completely.

I enjoy finding new and creative ways to bridge the gap between FOSS and the rest of the world. I also enjoy creating web pages and graphic art for FOSS projects when time permits.
