Pneumatic Chemistry

Lavoisier took many trips to France with a geologist named J.E. Guettard before writing what would become the first allusions of his model of the gas state. These trips, and his growing relationship with Guettard, may have influenced his passion for solution chemistry which ultimately led to his model of the gas state. [1]
