Potential Articles
- Gothic Fiction
I want to edit this article because I'm actually interested in the topic. I also noticed this article has many issues including the paragraph being flooded with other referenced topics.
- I agree! It looks like this article needs a good clean-up. There could also be opportunities to refine the transitions between sections or enhance the clarity of how different themes or periods are interconnected.
- Virginia Woolf
This article has many issues involving sources and citations. This is a very important historical figure, so it should be cleaned up.
- Another good one. There is some discussion on the Talk page where some other editors touched on the issues with Verifiability that you saw. The article is generally well-structured but could be improved in terms of integrating its various sections more seamlessly, especially in connecting her personal experiences with her literary output.
- Frankenstein
This is a classic gothic fiction novel, but this article is messy. It includes a lot of unnecessary and irrelevant information.
This article also has a huge amount of other references that make the paragraphs almost entirely blue.
I feel like it is easy to insert original research in articles about fictional works, as interpretations can be subjective. This is a B class article, so it could use improvement as well.
Model Articles
She is the author of Frankenstein and also a very prominent literary figure for gothic fiction. She is also a female author, so this featured article is a good reference for the skeleton of an author's Wikipedia page. On the talk page, there is some discussion about condensing unnecessary personal information that I think is very important to balance with literary history.
Another great article about a female writer. She is more modern than Mary Shelley, so this could also serve as a good reference. There is also talk with this one about moving information that is more important to her life as an author around.
This featured article is a good reference point as well since it is a fictional work like many of my potential article topics. I couldn't find any good articles about a literary genre to refer to for my gothic fiction article, but I thought maybe looking at a fictional work could also provide insight for how the genre should look.
