On June 29, 2011, it was announced that Natalie Hall would be replacing Natalie Floyd.[1]
Development
Kate is poised and well-brought-up and it is also mentioned that she is very good at sailing and horseback riding.
Storylines
Kate is introduced in the
Can You Hear Me Now?", when Tom Marin takes Hanna out to dinner.[2] Hanna, thinking that she is to have a private evening with her father is shocked to see Tom greet Kate and her mother, Isabel in the restaurant.[2] She is further shocked when she learns in that moment that Isabel is engaged to her father, making Kate his soon-to-be step-daughter.[2] During dinner, the conversation focuses on Kate and her latest achievements, as well as the fact that she is accomplished at sailing, while Hanna doesn't know how.[2] None of them seem to find Hanna's jokes funny, while the subject of Kate seems ever so fascinating.[2] Adding insult to injury, Tom insensitively brings up Hanna's totaling Sean's car at this point in the conversation.[2] Despite Kate's seemingly wholesome demeanor, she behaves snidely towards Hanna; she shares a smirk with her mother at Hanna's misfortune.[2] She then suggests that Hanna's payback job at a dental office might be interesting.[2] Hanna quickly rejoins with a veiled comment about "false veneers."[2]
She is not seen again until
riding helmet on the loudspeaker
switch. The girls rush out to undo the damage, but Kate walks away miffed, with her friends at her heels.
