Historical research is a post-academic pastime of mine. I am sometimes commissioned to write historical features by magazines, newspapers and online publications and therefore claim some expertise in this area. I am particularly incensed by poor grammar and sentence structure, and where I see this occur in Wikipedia, I will not hesitate to amend pages where necessary. In a previous life I was involved in mergers & acquisitions and maintain an interest in that area, so it is likely that I will continue to contribute to Wikipedia's commercial-related content.
