Hello!
Background: Been involved with online discussions since the days of the WELL in San Francisco, starting around 1991; I was co-host of the Virtual Communities conference there (with Howard Rheingold) and learned a bit about navigating flame wars and unconstructive contributors.
I publish a zine (The Palindromist) and a slightly famous political website (The Skeleton Closet, www.realchange.org -- since 1995). I'm flattered to see a couple of pages here citing the latter.
I'm also a standup comedian and a writer, from reviews for Factsheet Five to a couple of books, essays published in books (such as "The Genx Reader" and "Not Fade Away") and a wine label. I also perform as a standup comedian and storyteller. I have a blog about modern Western manifestations of Daoism, and wrote a book on [American] football ("The Tao of Chip Kelly").
