Time has passed since

The MC are making a deal with True IRA for importing guns. With the warehouse barely up and functioning, and the ATF heat still too close for comfort, the strike a deal for 28% of the shipments in exchange for storing and selling them. Tension is still thick between Jax and Clay, who disagree slightly about how the deal went down.

Deputy Chief Hale meets with his older brother Jacob Jr., who has called him to a lunch meeting with prospective businessman Ethan Zobelle and his associate, A.J. Weston. Zobelle is opening a cigar store, Impeccable Smokes, and presents himself to Hale as someone wishing to integrate himself into the Charming community. Hale is at first pleased by this, but as the discussion quickly turns to SAMCRO and the "problem" they pose in Charming, Hale realizes that Zobelle and Weston are really white supremacists, representing a faction known as LOAN (League Of American Nationalists). With Chief Unser only a few weeks away from retirement, Hale will be named Chief of Police in Charming, and LOAN wants to get on his good side. Hale quickly turns away from the discussion in distaste, wanting nothing to do with Zobelle, Weston, or LOAN. Jacob follows him out to his car and points out that SAMCRO has always presented a problem for Charming, and this is, however distasteful, a solution to it.

Opie arrives home after his travels and is greeted by a happy Jax. The two old friends catch up as Jax fills Opie in on SAMCROs dealings since his departure. Jax expresses his growing distrust of how Clay is running the club, while Opie clearly is repressing his own feelings about the murder of his wife, whom he still believes was killed by the Mayans in a gang related shooting. Opie's mother arrives and tells him that his kids are happy to see them, but a distant Opie replies that he has other things to do and will "See them later". Distraught at his distance, she pleads with Jax to try and set Opie back on the right path, for his children's sake.

At the hospital, Gemma and Tara meet to discuss the well being of baby Able. The relationship, while strained, seems to have cooled considerably now that Wendy is out of the picture, as well as for the sake of baby Able and Jax. Gemma mentions that Tara has been spending almost every night with Jax and the baby.

At the police station, Jax pulls Hale aside and mentions that Opie is back in town. He manages to convince Hale that Opie needs some time to get his head right and reconnect with his kids, and that the last thing he needs is to suspect someone in the MC was responsible for Donnas death. Hale is reluctant to lie about it to Opie, or to cover it up, but he shows genuine concern for Opie's well being and agrees to be silent about his suspicions. He tells Jax that he wants a favor in return. Unser's health is visibly declining. As Hale puts it, "Unser is in bad shape. This guy should not be on the job." When Unser's time is up, SAMCRO must let him retire. Jax is moved by Hale's clear devotion to his boss and mentor, and promises to do whatever he can to allow that to happen.

Outside of the hospital, Gemma and baby Able come across Unser waiting for his wife. He came alone because "She doesn't care much for hospitals." Gemma offers to wait and the two bond over a shared joint.

Weston visits Darby at his shop, telling him that SAMCRO will be taken care of, and that he wants Darby to start manufacturing meth in a house on the edge of Charming. Darby is reluctant to set up a drug lab in SAMCROs backyard, but Weston assures him that he has the protection of LOAN. Weston comments with distaste at the Mexican workers Darby has employed, and tells him to cover up the Swastika tattooed on his chest because he "hasn't earned it yet."

SAMCRO happily welcomes back Opie, although Piney is displeased that Jax hasn't told Opie about Clays involvement in Donna's death. Jax tells him that he will let Opie know in time. Clay and Tig tell Opie that his wife was killed by Mayans. Opie agrees to go take him out, on the condition that he is the one to kill him. Jax takes Clay aside and warns him about where this is going, telling him to make sure that whoever is getting a target painted on them deserves to die.

Jax, Opie, and Tig corner the Mayan, a recent parolee, and after a brief car chase, corner him in a construction yard. Opie demands the Mayan admit to Donnas death, but he has no idea what Opie is talking about. Frustrated, Opie walks away and asks Jax to leave him alone to torture the Mayan into an admission of guilt. With a moment free and worried about the plan collapsing, Tig shoots the Mayan through the mouth, claiming he tried to escape and thus proved his guilt. Opie stares down at the Mayan for a moment before casually shooting him in the head, killing him. He takes out Jax knife and carves an A into the dead Mayan's chest "So they'll know who did it and why". Jax stays behind to dispose of the body. He shoots the torso until the A isn't visible, disposing of the body later on in Mayan territory, making it look like a hit by the Niners, an act that greatly displeases Clay.
