Dr SK Pahari received his early education from Nepal and India before going to the United Kingdom for further qualification including

Dr Pahari established Nepal Medical College and Teaching Hospital in Jorpati, Kathmandu in 1997 as its Founding Executive Chairman with a pro-poor vision. He was also the Founding Chairman of Norvic International Hospital, a cardiac specialist centre in Thapathali, Kathmandu. In 2014, Dr Pahari was facilitated by the Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister during a ceremony organised at Norvic Hospital during the inauguration of its diagnostic centre [1].

In his long and distinguished career, Dr Pahari held several other positions including as President of Nepal Health Research Council (2003-2006) [2] and Chairman of Nepal Medical Association [3].
