Albion Hurricanes is a non-profit organization designed to introduce and facilitate the sport of soccer to children living in the city of Houston. The program targets children living in urban areas who need an activity outside of school, in their own environment. [1]

Philosophy

Albion Hurricanes has a target of developing kids into the four aspects of the game: technical, tactical, physical and psychological. The club's goal is to develop kids into the highest level of play. They have a philosophy to have their own unique style of play that is adaptable for any sort of tactics and separates them from other clubs. They want to establish kids into the program, develop them through their training and practices, and advance them into the higher levels of the sport. The club has a network that reaches all levels of college bound seniors who are still a part of the club, aiming to get kids to the highest quality universities and levels of play in soccer. They have a philosophy of hiring staff who incline who dedicate themselves to improving individual players and the team

Sponsors

Albion Hurricanes is in association or sponsorships with Memorial Hermann, Toyota, Nike, Dicks Sporting Goods, ScotiaBank, Pragmatic, and CenterPoint Energy, all sponsors serve different purposes within the formatting and marketing of the club for the Houston area. Nike recently struck a uniform deal with Albion and all uniforms for players in the academy are required to wear the Nike-specific clothing with can be purchased through Eurosport or the official Albion Hurricanes website. All sponsors as listed serve a specific purpose to which the club can fully maintain its fields, earn enough money for tournaments and chances to go onto higher levels of play, and give oppurtunities for people to maintain their soccer skills throughout the years

Programs

Albion Hurricanes also offers a multitude of programs available for choice, including U8/U9/U10 player development academy, Futsal, College placement programs, goalkeeper programs. For the advanced levels of play, the girls are currently a part of the elite clubs national league (ECNL), and in the coming season a boys ECNL will be introduced for the higher levels of play. The ECNL website can be found Here. Tryouts for the club are held every Spring and Winter, and the season officially begins every Fall right before school starts. Albion also offers a goalkeeping program for those wanting to become a goalkeeper, these goalkeepers will be sent to play with the regular team corresponding with their age group. Albion also has a college placement program designed to give a chance for to go into a higher level play of soccer as well as a college with quality education.

Tournaments and Camps

Albion Hurricanes Football Club offers a multitude of camps during the Summer time, varying between the ages of 5 to 16, and in affiliation with Reading F.C located in Reading, England, Albion offers a camp once year which is lead by Reading Football Club. Tournaments and Camps that are available for signup are located [here] and [here] Tournaments are usually hosted or held at the very beginning and end of the official season, and depending on the level players may have to go as far as Florida for a tournament but most of the time tourneys are held locally within the Houston area.

CRSP and International Travel

Albion Hurricanes F.C is affiliated with AM sports tours, a partnership started after the Grimaud Cup, hosted by AM Sports, in the South of France.[2] As the increasing popularity for interntional travel looms, more tournemnts are being hosted outside of the country for an oppurtunity to be scouted by people outside the country, and the closest upcoming tournament there is to be a tournament hosted in Barcelona for those born in 2003 in March and for both girls and boys.
