Features
Calgoo is a desktop application that works online and offline. Changes are automatically synchronized with other calendars the next time the user is connected to the Internet.
Calgoo uses the Google Calendar Data API to synchronize with and store events on Google Calendar.
The latest release of Calgoo (Calgoo Beta 0.37) provides many features:
- Synchronize: You can synchronize Calgoo with all Google,iCal or Outlook calendar formates.
- Buddies and Tags: When creating appointments you can add Buddies (i.e. friends and associates) and Tags (categorization flags) with the Buddy/Tag icon.
- Appointment: Allows for quick adding, editing or deleting of appointments.
- Filters: Displays a list of pre-defined Filters (i.e. text, time, tags and buddies), which are used to refine the view of calendar and calendar group information.
- Task List: A colour coded "to do" list pane displaying the current task that have been entered and listing the priority, status and percentage complete.
- Mini Day: Allows viewing a summary of the day's appointment.
- Message log pane: Gives the user system related information (e.g. appointment updates information, synchronization with Google confirmation, etc).
- Calendar Groups: The option of creating Calendar Groups by putting Calgoo's calendars into logical grouping enables you to have full control over which calendar or calendar group you are viewing.
- "Find it": This feature, divided in the criteria of Tag, Summary and Buddy, enables a quick look for a specific appointment in the currently displayed calendars.
- Drag-and-drop: This feature lets you drag and drop calendars, Buddies and Filters onto calendars without reloading the page.
- Changing the view: Switch the calendar in a daily weekly and monthly agenda view in the main calendar display.
- Layout themes: Calgoo provides three layout themes - blue, silver and black.
