Royal Restrooms is an equipment rental company that provides restroom service with portable restroom trailers and portable shower trailers. The company is headquartered in Savannah, Georgia, and offers nationwide restroom service through franchise offices located throughout the United States. The Royal Restrooms portfolio of service includes private and commercial events of all sizes; business remodels; local, state, and national government contracts; military contracts; and disaster relief. History Royal Restrooms, LLC was started in 2004 in Savannah, Georgia by David Sauers, Jr. and engineer Robert Glisson[2] after Sauers attended a festival and used a porta-potty with his two young daughters, one an infant. The disaster resulting from the lack of space, running water and toilet paper motivated Sauers to create a quality solution that everyone can appreciate. He and Glisson founded Royal Restrooms with spacious, clean restrooms for many types of events, and a new industry was created. Popularity and growth in the Savannah market spawned business development in areas outside the Royal Restrooms LLC service area. In 2006, the business model was franchised under Royal Restrooms Management, LLC, also in Savannah, Georgia.[3] [4]
From 2004-2014, the Royal Restrooms footprint grew to nationwide coverage with 45 plus independently owned and operated office locations in the Royal Restrooms Franchise.[5]
Equipment Whereas many portable toilet variations are unplumbed porta-potties, Royal Restrooms are full service portable restroom trailers and portable shower trailers. The trailers themselves resemble enclosed cargo trailers, but their interiors are designed and outfitted to provide the same amenities as a home bathroom.
Royal Restroom trailers are self-contained and equipped with running water, electricity, flushing toilets, sinks and countertops, and heating and air-conditioning. ADA restroom trailers and ADA shower trailers with wheelchair accessibility are included in the Royal Restrooms nationwide fleet.[6]
Sponsor of Charity, Cultural, Sports Events Royal Restrooms supports many charitable and sports causes across the country such as Children’s Home Society of Florida[7], Ronald McDonald House[8], Film production[9] and PGA Champions Tour[10].
Becoming Common Terminology for Upscale Portable Restrooms Royal Restrooms is being used as a general term for upscale and luxury portable restrooms[11] and are used at many high-profile events like the Sedona Arts Festival[12].
