SCARLETT RAVEN

Artist Scarlett Raven was born in March 1986 in London. She obtained a BA in Fine Art from London's Central St Martin's. At twenty-one she exhibited her first solo show on Cork Street, Mayfair with 'Seascapes'. In 2012, aged twenty-six, she exhibited with <1></http://www.hayhillgallery.com/home.html>Flight' at Hay Hill Gallery on Cork Street, Mayfair, London <2></http://www.allinlondon.co.uk/whats-on.php?event=81713> with 21 large scale paintings featuring her distinctive 3-dimensional oils. Scarlett Raven's <3></http://www.scarlettraven.com/>style of painting is inspired by the natural world: animals, the sea, flora and fauna and her work is sculptural in form even on canvas.

Scarlett counts Yachtswoman Claire Francis, actor Orlando Bloom, Queen band manager Jim Beach, boy band Take That and Lord Jonathan Marland as collectors of her works. In 2007 she was commissioned to paint the image for the Live Nation entrance on Oxford Street, London. Scarlett Raven completed the cover for fundraising record The Beautiful Game, released for Prince Harry's Sentebale charity, which raises money for vulnerable children in the mountain kingdom.

At the age of twenty, Scarlett Raven was asked to design the album artwork for the band, Wiredasies. In January 2008, David Saw released his solo album Broken Down Figure (produced by Ben Taylor, son of James Taylor and Carly Simon), and Scarlett created the drawings for the album cover. Roxy Music's Andy Mackay and Paul Thompson commissioned her to work on art work for their band The Metaphors. Scarlett Raven featured in the <4></http://www.artbelow.org.uk/artists/scarlettraven>CASS ART 'PAINT THIS TOWN' campaign which appeared across the UK.

Scarlett Raven is daughter to writer, Siobhan Cunningham and saxophone player and composer Raphael Ravenscroft ( Pink Floyd, Abba, Marvin Gaye and Gerry Rafferty's Baker Street) and is granddaughter to Trevor Ravenscroft writer of the best seller 'The Spear Of Destiny'. She lives in West Sussex and London.
