The Canadian Pugwash Group (CPG) is a civil society organization dedicated to responding to existential threats to humanity via harnessing science broadly understood.

Canadian Pugwash's mission is to contribute to global peace, security and nuclear disarmament based on Russell Einstein Manifesto.^[1]

The Russell-Einstein Manifesto of 1955 was a major step in the nuclear disarmament campaign by prominent members of the scientific community. Today, the Pugwash Conferences throughout the world draw attention to Peace and Security Issues. The Canadian Pugwash Group (CPG) is the Canadian national affiliate of International Pugwash.^[2]
