Welcome!

Hello, and (as it says above), Welcome to Wikipedia: :) This is quite belated, I see, as you've been registered since November 2010 and your first edit suggests you'd probably edited before, whether as an IP or under a different username. I've left you the "welcome mat" anyway, simply because I found the one given me incredibly useful for some time. You are, of course, completely welcome to remove it if you do not. :D

I see from your contribution history that we have some interests in common, although I typically work the administrative back end of Wikipedia rather than copyright-related articles. (Substantial similarity is one of the few exceptions there, primarily because I created it. You may already know that this does not give me any more authority over what it says than anybody else, but I'm still kind of interested in what happens to it.)

Anyway, I've replied to your question at the talk page of Substantial similarity, and whether we continue talking there or not, odds are that I'll run into you at some point or the other somewhere. :) But if I can help you as you make your way around, please feel free to come by my talk page. Currently my work doesn't always allow me to check in on weekdays, but I do my best to get to everything eventually. :D

As a final note, while you seem to be doing just fine on your own, I did want to let you know that we have "projects" where people with similar interests draw together to share documents related to standard practices and (when the projects are well functioning!) to discuss issues and collaborate on work. Given your focus, you might want to check out Wikipedia:WikiProject Law. Projects are completely optional--whether you join one or not, and, if you do, how much time you put into it. But I wanted to let you know about the availability in case you're interested and haven't already discovered them for yourself. :)

Responses From Shrewmania

Thank you, Moonriddengirl, for taking the time to create this page; I was unaware of it until just recently. While it just so happens that, to date, most of my edits have been in legal matters (my interest in which is moreso motivated by worries about them than anything else), my interests are not primarily in law. Again, thank you for creating this page thusfar. -- Shrewmania (talk) 00:57, 8 October 2011 (UTC)

On Consensus

Unlike what WP:SILENT says, my silence does not automatically indicate my consent to the contents of an article. Furthermore, just because I don't edit the content or words of an article doesn't automatically mean I agree with them, and the contents of Wikipedia articles do not necessarily reflect my views.
