Anna Kruse, aka Sleuthwood

A recent graduate of Georgetown University’s M.A. program in English, I am currently working on the Commons project at Georgetown’s Center for New Designs in Learning and Scholarship (CNDLS) and am a new Wikipedia Campus Ambassador.

In my work with the Commons team, I focus on helping users plan, customize, and make the most of the tools offered through the Commons, including ePortfolios. I also coordinate the Apprenticeship in Teaching program, a program designed to help prepare graduate student participants to become confident and reflective teachers.

The majority of my graduate work focused on the early modern and nineteenth-century literatures of Britain (with an especial interest in the domestic sphere and material culture), culminating in a thesis that explored Thomas Hardy’s and Edith Wharton’s English estates as cultural heritage, the objects of narrative and the subjects of preservation issues.
