Hayes

Mr. Hayes -

I am a fan of Insomniac City, and a volunteer writer of Wikipedia. I would like to include a photo of you in your article at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Hayes_(writer,_born_1961). However, we cannot use media with certain copyright restrictions, which apply to most photos of you found online. Would you be so kind as to provide a freely licensed photo we can use? If you choose to do so, you can email the photo (it need not be new) and a release to [email protected]. To make sure we can use the photo, please use the release generator at https://tools.wmflabs.org/relgen/.

Thank you very much!

[Name] - Thank you so much for removing the incorrect image from the Wikipedia article wheel spider! I've applied the fix to articles in several other languages.

Since we don't have an image of an actual wheel spider, do you possibly have one? Or, for that matter, any other Namib spiders we might be missing, or indeed anything of encyclopedic interest in the Namib? Wikipedia always struggles to find freely-licensed images, and someone with your professional expertise (and location) could be an extremely valuable contributor. If you're willing to share your photos with Wikipedia, there are a couple of ways you can do so:

1. Upload the images to Flickr, using a Creative Commons "Attribution-ShareAlike" (CC-BY-SA) license, then alert me or another Wikipedian, either by email or on our "User talk" pages. (You can ask for help at the Help Desk, or try WikiProject Spiders)

2. Upload the images directly to Wikimedia Commons, here. (You will need to create an account, but this will be the easiest way for editors to use your images.)

I'd be glad to help you with either method, or with any other Wikipedia questions you have. Again, thank you for helping make Wikipedia better with your correction, and I hope you can contribute more!
