Dr.Anubhuti Yadav

Dr. Anubhuti Yadav is Head of the Department of New Media and Information Technology at the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi. She teaches New Media. She joined Advertising Industry in 2000 and worked on the

researcher
for the series, on women achievers, career counseling and media literacy, conceived directed and scripted by her. She is a leading expert and an active promoter of media literacy in India. Through community involvement and teacher training programmes and as a researcher teacher and media professional, Dr. Yadav has played a key role in introducing media studies at school level in India. She undertook various projects to promote digital and media literacy education in India. In 2008, she took up the project of setting up media clubs in schools and trained teachers to set up these media clubs across the country. Dr. Yadav is also a keen researcher and has conducted research in the areas like media literacy, media education, women & media, media & children, entertainment education, Informational and
communication technology

Education

Dr.Anubhuti Yadav received a

Bachelor of Arts degree in Home Science from Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (CCS HAU) Hisar, graduating with a first class. Two years later, in 1997, she received a Master of Science in Mass Communication from Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJU) Hisar
, post graduating with a first class. Five year later, in 2002, she received a Doctor of Philosophy in Mass Communication from Guru Jambeshwar University of Science and Technology (GJU) Hisar in Political marketing- Comparative Analysis of Public Opinion survey conducted in 11th, 12th,13th and 14th Loksabha elections.

Career

Dr.Anubhuti Yadav started her career as Account Executive in Pink city Advertising Jaipur in 1997, and worked on the Rajasthan Tourism campaign for two years. In 1998 she worked as Business Development Executive in Software Technology Group Int Ltd Hisar. In 2001 as an Advertising Manager in Bharti Airtel Limited. In 2002 as a Lecturer in Guru Jambheshewar University Hisar. Later she moved to academics and in 2002 Dr. Anubhuti Yadav was appointed as an Assistant Professor in Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi and taught advertising and research for three years. In 2005 she joined Central Institute of Educational Technology, National Council for Education Research and Training (NCERT) as an Assistant Professor to work in the areas like educational media and media literacy. Her work in the area of educational media won her four national awards as best script writer and researcher for the series, on women achievers, career counselling and media literacy, conceived directed and scripted by her.

She is a leading expert and an active promoter of media literacy in India. She has presented papers at various national and international conferences.

Her latest achievement is the launch of National Repository of Open Educational Resources, the project she coordinated for NCERT. The NROER was initiated by the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India and the Central Institute of Educational Technology, National Council of Educational Research and Training.

Dr.Anubhuti Yadav is a visiting Professor in Jamia Milia Islamia, Guru Jambheshwar University, Apeejay School of Management, Pioneer Media School, Gargi College, Manav Rachna University, Amity School, Makhan lal Chaturvedi University, Kurukshetra University, Aligarh Muslim University, CBSE, St Marks School, St Paul School, Manavsthali School, Navy Children School, Hansraj School.

She has also worked in Collaboration with other organisations: UNESCO,UNICEF, UNDP, Gandhi Smriti, World Comics, Expression India ,IGNOU, KV, etc.
