Introduction and short bio
Hello, everyone!
My name is Vugar. I am a young lawyer from Azerbaijan and have recently opened my Wikipedia account. I hold my bachelor's degree in Law from Baku State University and my master's degree in Human Rights Law from the same University. I have been actively involved in the activity of a number of international organizations, including European Law Students' Association (ELSA) which provided me with a broad insight of national legal systems of a number of countries around the globe. Currently I am involved in the activity of various NGOs as a legal expert in the field of legal research and anti-corruption strategies.
I have always been an active user of Wikipedia since my school years. However, I have always been attentive and captious about the sources and credibility of displayed information, since my specialism required me to refer to reliable sources. Therefore, I have a strong motivation to start playing my own part and make Wikipedia a more reliable resource of knowledge and information.
Interesests
The most frequently visited Wikipedia pages by me are those about Legal systems of different countries, Human rights issues, constitutions and Regulation. On the other hand, I am also very interested in global politics, modern constitutionalism, the role of "rule of law" in shaping of modern political scenes. So, I have great motivation to imrprove and enrich Wikipedia pages related to Landmark cases which determined the future development of Jurisprudence.
I want to specifically mention that, unfortunately I have been frequently coming across the articles with biased and non-objective attitute towards the subject matter. I hold the view that whoever contributes to Wikipedia, should adhere to fundamental principles, goals and essence of this Encyclopedia. Therefore, I follow my personal Wiki-motto "Objectivity and authoritative sources are masters of knowledge" and will also do my best in order to eliminate unreliable information from Wiki articles.
Besides to the mentioned topics, I am also frequently visiting pages of famous politicians and world leaders, as well as well-known lawyers and diplomants. Articles about culture, tourism and various international events taking place all around the world also attract my attention. Hope I will be able to offer my contributions to the articles in these categories too.
Last but not least, I want to note that I am a newcomer in Wikipedia world and will be learning and improving my skills for the first few weeks. I hope that my adaptation will not last too long, but please, pardon my non-acquaintance and feel free to correct me whenever you think it is necessary.
