The practice of

dogpiling
the insults, trying to out-insult the others, often sounding like really, really mean insults.

One unfortunate side-effect of Jimboning is that it might give the false impression, to new users, that many admins are totally rude and classless morons. Several admins have been thinking intensely to find a way to reduce this impression, but they have been unable to think of a solution during the past 13 years. However, perhaps the best benefit of Jimboning is the instant effect of driving away many truly intelligent new users who might ask all those darned smart questions which can really stump admins for days, or even months or something longer. Consequently, far fewer users still remain, which makes the workload simpler for admins and other users, when there are fewer people to suggest those all those tedious new improvements for Wikipedia.

Some admins, who prefer to avoid Jimboning, might wander off to become

rouge admins
, with their own secret plans to thwart progress in Wikipedia. However, the use of Jimboning has been maintained at a very high level, for several years, despite running low on new insults to hurl at Jimbo. So, some users are beginning to suspect the continual Jimboning is contrived, and at that point, just refer them to this page, and let them in on the secret: it is contrived.
