Slammiversary 2006 was the second annual
Slammiversary 2006 marked the fourth anniversary of the promotion. In a tradition continued from Slammiversary 2005, all the referees dressed in old-school pale blue long-sleeved dress shirts, black slacks, and black bowties, instead of the usual short-sleeve striped shirts and black slacks.
Background
The event featured nine professional wrestling matches that involved different wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds, plots and storylines. Wrestlers were portrayed as either villains or fan favorites as they followed a series of events which built tension, culminating in a wrestling match or series of matches.
