I did not notice any positive change in the article, except that you placed a dot (or at least that's what it appears on my screen), hence not changing anything in the article.

I didn't change the article, but the category! You should have seen what my edit had done to the category. It makes it better! Really. Do a little experiment and look for yourself. I also recommend you to look at the example that I used about Chelsea FC.
Don't see any change, but I have restored your contributions.

Your Username (הגמל התימני)

Hello הגמל התימני, unfortunately the username you have picked is inappropriate. Your username should use the English alphabet instead of the Hebrew alphabet. As it is, it makes it hard for people to communicate with you, type your name and even cut and paste in computers not equipped with the Hebrew character set Please consider changing it. You can do this by following the instructions at the Changing username page or by just creating a new account. Note that changing your username will allow you to keep your current edits credited to you. If you do not change your username, a Wikipedia administrator may block this account. If you feel this message is a mistake and your username does not violate the rule, please feel free to leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. -- Alexf42 21:53, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Alex. I didn't want to cause any trouble, but because I used a global account for my account at Hebrew Wikipedia by mistake, I am always being logged in with this account. I will sign up with a new user-name. I hope it is O.K to have more than one account here. Thanks and good afternoon. הגמל התימני (talk)
Although
multiple accounts are not recommended, it is acceptable if you explain your reasons (and I believe you have a good reason). -- Alexf42 12:18, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply

Hmm, after reading Wikipedia:Username policy it appears to me that my username is O.K. but I need to change my signature. And so I did. Is this fine? HaGamal 14:31, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'd still prefer a name change but this is much better than before. Thank you. -- Alexf42 14:43, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

La Liga stadistics

Hola,

I get the information from [1]. It is in spanish and you have to click in 'Historia de la liga', select 'Plantilla de la liga', and the season and the team that you want to consult. Try with 1961-62 and FC Barcelona, select BENITEZ A. and you would have Julio César Benítez stadistics in La Liga games.

You can also see Anexo:Futbolistas del Fútbol Club Barcelona en partidos de Liga.

Salut. --Zigurat (talk) 16:43, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hola! That's very nice to see. The statistics page in Spanish Wiki is very useful. I found there Jose Antonio Zaldua (they call him there in a different name, strangely - but birth date and all other info is same), the one who raised Copa del Generalismo in 1968!
Hola, José Ignacio Zaldúa? -born the 15/12/1941-. Explain me more about this Zaldua with a different name. --Zigurat (talk) 17:16, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hehe, no, it isn't and if you want an online translator, go to Almighty Google Translate. Since it is still lame with Hebrew, I'll just translate if for you: my username means "The Camel of Yemen". HaGamal 09:52, 27 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Cool thanks--

It would be update soon (next days), or I would re-program images for bio (don't use it, it is out-fo-date). Regards!

I know, I tried to use it but it was really useless because all the articles had images already. Oh and - thanks! HaGamal 05:46, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Esoteric - how so? I ask only to seek a way to see how this could be improved, but thank you for your message. Mattythewhite (talk) 20:07, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Improvement is something subjective, and depends on the language you write in. In Hebrew Wikipedia, articles about specific seasons (even in League point of view) are forbidden, so writing about clubs' specific seasons - it's an invitation for being blocked. Here, since there is (almost) no limitations to the detail-level of articles, it is O.K. in English Wikipedia to write lists of seasons, managers and players of a club, as opposed to Hebrew Wikipedia... HaGamal 20:10, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I mean, York City has only reached third level of football in England, and its highest achievement is reaching FA Cup semi finals. The club doesn't have so much influence on British football, as opposed to, let's say, Aston Villa. Therefore, writing so much about this not-so-important club, but leaving out the more important and influential clubs with fewer details, is not proportional. HaGamal 20:14, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well, the second level if I am to split hairs. But at the end of the day, we all go on Wikipedia to write about the subjects that interest us and what we want the world to be informed about, and in my delusional little mind that is York City! I wouldn't really personally give much of a toss in regards to writing about one of the larger clubs, because I have no personal motivation to do so. I see where you're coming from and what you mean, but in the end, we all just edit about what we feel like editing about. Mattythewhite (talk) 20:20, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The problem is - where does the line go? Can I write about myself? About each building in London? Why should we write about every single season of esoteric clubs - just because we are feel like editing about it? As I say, I really admire the work, and I sometimes read it, but it just slightly bothers me. Another thing that I was wondering about - how encyclopedic is the information? Should an encyclopedia write about every piece of information available about a second\third level football club, or should it filter the esoteric details out? HaGamal 21:13, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The articles I have created are deemed notable, or at least have not been found to be non-notable, and are able to be fully sourced, so I don't see any problem personally. I mean, lower league football gains a lot of coverage in England and so naturally is something people might want to read into. Although, I do personally find club season articles as possibly pushing it too far and something that require probably a bit too much maintenance. Mattythewhite (talk) 21:24, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
As I said, English Wikipedia is much more permissive, and therefore allows even not-so-notable articles to be written, as long as they are "well written". I oppose this ideology, and thing that an Encyclopedia should include more notable topics, and keep detail level in the proper scope, and not season-by-season articles (or information, anywhere). I think Wikipedia should be separated from newspapers, and not include every bit of information available about a certain topic, more importantly when the topic is not so notable (although, as you say, even low-level football is highly covered in England. Here in Israel second league games barely scratch a hundred viewers). HaGamal 21:45, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Man City Reserves and Acadamy

This artcile is about the Reserves and the Acadamy, the section entitled Reserves is about them only therefore the title should stay, if you wish to add a paragraph above it that is an intro to the article as a whole that would be a good idea but please refrain from removing the title Reserves. Hello from Portugal,

please (PLEASE!) stop removing this external link. I explain to you how it works: when you click on it the first time, yes it seems to be dead. But if you go back on your action then click on it again, it appears. Please try this to see that i am not lying.

Happy editing, happy weekend --85.242.133.151 (talk) 16:57, 14 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

To me it worked just fine on the first click. No reason nor explanation for this removal. Cheers, MYS77 21:50, 14 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It doesn't lead to a player profile. Maybe it is a geographical block or something, but I am always being redirected to this address: http://www.athletic-club.eus/prehome.html and not to Alexanko's profile.
You think I was doing this because I'm bored or what?... HaGamal 05:50, 16 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

No, no accusations whatsoever, kind fellow user (this is me, 85.242.133.151, but editing from my place of work). I was only notifying you of precisely that, when I click the link the first time it also leads me to Athletic Bilbao's homepage, but when I click it the second time it shows me Mr. Alexanko's profile. --193.137.135.2 (talk) 10:58, 16 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This may occur due to a lot of variables: geographical blocks, browser settings, website timeout... However, the link is still working perfectly fine. I think it should stay there, as long as it works for somebody. Cheers, MYS77 11:55, 16 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
