Incapacitants is a very well known Japanese noise band, check google (33,300 results). There was also plenty of information in that article to back up that fact, so I don't get where you are coming from when you are asking me, in my discussion page, to add a 'why' to justify their addition. No problem, it was very vigilant of you. And such testing does keep me in check if I do go too far with adding other lesser known bands ;-P but I was more sure about this one; I've heard about the band for years & have never (to this day) heard any of their material. Since the block would have expired in a few hours anyway, I have removed the block on 208.0.239.54. As you can see from Special:Contributions/208.0.239.54, there has been quite a bit of mischief coming from this address over the last couple days, which is the reason behind the block. From our end, there's not much we can do other than block the IP. Depending on how your network is set up, it may be relatively easy or rather difficult to nail down who is responsible for the vandalism. If you contact your network admnistrators, I'd recommend showing them your IP's contribution record and point out the vandalism edits. Well, I sent him the e-mail with a link to the IP's contribs page, along with a detailed explanation. Our network is set up so you are required to log in to the router before browsing the internet. All activity is logged, so it should be fairly easy for them to pin down who was on en.wikipedia.org at those times. -^demon 03:01, 24 January 2006 (UTC)

Correction on the assumption that it might just be 1 person. It could be quite a few people (all freshmen no doubt). As a member of the school, I have seen that the general reference to any and all people as 'gay' has become quite a trend (and quite funny in their minds). Hi Demon. Despite our enthusiasm, it would appear that the committee idea has hit a standstill, literally. I'm basing this on the very low traffic on the draft page that was set up. Several users who disagree with the concept apparently have decided to torpedo the idea by simply ignoring it, and many users out there only start getting involved when they see a previous traffic going on at the page. Without a significant input, from a relevant morceau of the community, there's nowhere near sufficient legitimacy for the committee to even be established.
We should keep the page up though, since maybe people will be so concerned with the prospect of having a committee appointed to reform RfA that the reform just might happen as a preemptive action. Great to hear. Naturally, I'm right there with you. I too will lobby for the committee every time I get a chance. In fact, I was thinking if we shouldn't "advertise" the idea in more general forums, such as the Village Pump, or the Administrators' Noticeboard. I mean, even though a lot of people may vote on RfAs ocasionally, the people who notice the discussions (and that includes Linuxbeak's special discussion page) are usually the regulars in RfA, and that's a very restrict group. I already knew proposing the idea that several of the regulars on RfA were going to oppose the committee, vehemently. Their opinions weigh more because of the scarce number of users participating regularly. The trick could be getting more people from outside the clique involved. Of course, we also run the risk of meeting yet more opposition and having the idea buried definitively, but since we are already neck-deep as it is... Redux 00:26, 24 January 2006 (UTC)

Hey I was wondering if you know of a way to alter add css class in wiki?

I am making a map for the world in an open source game I play. I figured that if the whole community could correct it then it would stay resonably accurate and updates would be quick.

Since the world is grid based I create the map using absolute positioning and each cell is currently the part of two classes. One class defines how all cells should look, the other how this particular factions should look then the final style statement simply gives the coordinates. The main problem is that the specification of how all cells should look is quite a large style command and I dont want to have to add it to each div command. I'm not exactly quite sure what you mean by this. I know you can modify the monobook.css file for all users (if you are the admin for it), or for individual users (through User:User/monobook.css). Does this help? -^demon 16:04, 16 April 2006 (UTC)

Hmm.. not really. I want to add some css declarations for only one page. In a normal webpage you could have your governing css page for your whole webpage and then use the style tag to add style declarations for individual pages. I was hoping to add a declaration for just this page but I have no access to the header. Was wondering if there was another was to avoid making multiple style declarations for many elements. Short of using a class or id (which if it's multiple elements, an id can't be used), there is no way to apply styles to many elements. Unless you want to handwrite them all in the style attribute of each tag, when I'm sure you don't. I mean normal templates, like {{cite}} or {{db-nonsense}}. I *think* there's a way to transclude normal page (like this one). But I can't remember how. I usually use Firefox (v1.5.0.3) for my editing, but I switched over to IE6 (WinXP, with SP2) to use this tool. I logged in, and left the window open (just in case), then I launched the tool. The first time I launched, it asked what my name was (I entered ^demon). Now, it goes to a page that says "Login Request Failed" and it mentions my username (which means it's accepting that the name exists). I'm baffled. ^

1. Make sure cookies are enabled in IE
2. Open VandalProof
3. Set File -> Set username to ^demon
4. Select login under number two in the "Your log-in request failed" box
5. Enter ^demon and your password
6. If this works stop
7. If not shut down VandalProof
8. Use File -> Set username and change your username to %5Edemon
9. Select login under number two in the "Your log-in request failed" box
10. Enter ^demon and your password
11. If this doesn't work let me know

When logging into WP-en, I use ^demon as my login name. When logging in to VP, I have tried both ^demon and %5Edemon, neither of which worked (the former of the two seemed to cause VP to crash, actually). I can't try it on this laptop, but I'll be home on my PC in about an hour, and I can mess around with it then. ^

lol, were you online, on wikipedia at the time you checked? Session cookies are normally destroyed at the end of your browsing session on wikipedia. Regardless this confirms that it is VP that has the problem. If, after the update you are still having problems I will assist you then. (my alternate method may work, but it does require some contrived steps. (lets avoid this if possible:-)

Oh, I forgot to mention this earlier, but I think you did {{subst:dated prod}} when you tagged this article. It's better to use {{subst:prod}} instead, which creates an unsubsted dated prod, because this is easy to identify and remove if someone objects; when substed, it's not as clear where the dated prod ends.
