Lala & Boom is an independent game development studio publishing children’s books and child-friendly applications for
smartphones. According to the company's website "We are dedicated to the creation of compelling visual plays and good reading. Our books and apps are specially created to take advantage of the devices to play and tell stories and educate children in engaging ways. Yes it's subjective, but Lala & Boom wants to be proud of everything that we publish and make. We want to be sure that it meets the need of the reader. That means wonderful illustration, good design, best audio, great video, great animation and really great stories." The studio began in April, 2012, its first application was released in Dec 2012. The name Lala and Boom was chosen because of its simplicity and play on words. Lala and Boom aims to produce Digital toys/games where by kids play experience is to be more "open ended
" with less rules.
Various applications developed:
Fashion House: Catwalk Designer, the first application released by Lala and Boom, is a
Catwalk
. By doing so the aim is to encourage kids to play and make their own unique fashion collections. In the game there are four models to be dressed: Amy, Finlay, Arty and Lilly.
