Dong Xiaowan in other Languages

Aciram,

I came across two other languages on this same subject. Can you do me a favor and link all four articles of this topic, wikidata in Chinese and Vietnamese and those two you already are aware of?

Thanks in advance.207.102.255.36 (talk) 21:14, 15 November 2016 (UTC)

Just a little Chinese/English information online for your easy reference. The Story of Tung Siu-Yen (1950) Alias: The Story of Dong Xiaowan 207.102.255.36 (talk) 18:38, 17 November 2016 (UTC)

Carefulness

Could you perhaps take a bit more care in your text edits? Just wandering around I came across an edit that, as it appeared so, I characterized as "editing while asleep". Checking to see if this might be a language problem I found another sleepy edit. (8 September) It was a later editor correcting a bit of that that first caught my eye. (I like to look closer if someone else has already found a problem - there are often more problems.)

Besides asking you to double check your texts, could I also ask: what is the usefulness, what is the reason for changing all occurrences of 'wife' and 'husband' to 'spouse'? I was highly sensitized to the potential madness of "my word is best" when (years ago) I watched someone tear through WP substituting 'Evolution' for every section title that could possibly be related to biological history or life cycle or anything! 'Ecology'? Nope. 'Behavior'? Nah. 'History'? Nay. 'Phylogeny'? Not good enough. It had to be 'Evolution'. This isn't that editor, but it's a similar pattern - change "Phylogeny and systematics" to "Phylogeny and evolution" *and* move that section up from 8th to 2nd in the article. Cuz 'evolution' is soooo important. Word madness.

Sorry to burden you with my worries. You are doing so many good things that such an odd quirk seems out of place. Shenme (talk) 08:44, 19 November 2016 (UTC)

Ahh, found the editor I was commenting on. They were very insistent that 'evolution' was what everything was all about. Monomaniacal indeed. Shenme (talk) 09:13, 19 November 2016 (UTC)
I am sorry, but when it comes to your worry about my edits on the yuji article, I am not sure exactly that i understand what I have done wrong (though I admit I am recovering from surgery and may not understand what I otherwise would right now!) - perhaps it is a language issue. English is not a my native language. I apologize if I have written anything incorrect when it comes to language - but, please feel free to correct any language issues; wikipedia is after all a project free for any one to edit and contribute with what they can, and language is not my best contribution. I try to do my best though. When it comes to changing husband and wife to spouse, I prefer to use genderless terms when it is possible and to do so without damaging the text, and my reason for this is sincere respect for the hbtq community and rights - after all, "spouse" (just like consort) is the same thing as husband and wife, only a genderless that could apply to both, so I see not harm in it. Thank you very much for your appreciation! --Aciram (talk) 21:31, 19 November 2016 (UTC)

Reifensteinerinnen

Hallo Aciram, I saw you had written a stub on Ida von Kortzfleisch. A month later, I translated a short version of my lenghty german article and list on her schools and expanded some related articles (see Reifenstein_schools). Käthe Delius is a big need still. It would be great to activate some authors and portals - are you active or aware of any? I would like to write about some historical cooking books still. Thank you for your kind words. Well, I am a member of some projects, but that is only because I write about the subjects anyway, such as Wiki project women - I do not participate more closely I'm afraid, I write mostly by myself. I have the template on my page I think - I am currently offline, but perhaps I can get back to you soon and give you a better answer! Best regards--Aciram (talk) 21:38, 19 November 2016 (UTC)
