Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Japanese battleship Yamato. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. Since Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by some search engines, including Google. The problem is that you were edit warring to keep the links there without discussing them first. That is problem number one. While the links might be acceptable for the articles about the ships, they are not on the articles on the battles. Another thing, since you claim the photos are in the public domain, why don't you upload them to Wikimedia Commons (Our photo and media archive) where the images can be used in articles on every single language version of wikipedia. (The instructions to do so are relatively easy to follow) The main issue is that since you maintain the website, you cannot under our policy add the link to the article, but you can suggest it on the talk page of the article you think the link would be useful on. -MBK₀₀₄ 05:33, 1 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment.
