You deserve this:

The Tireless Contributor Barnstar
For contributing immensely to the article Al-Kindi.

A'ufwan (you are welcome), but you deserved it! Jidan 19:55, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I skimmed through it and found it very good. When it comes to Philosophy, I am clueless. I wanted some time ago to add his scientific accomplishments, which are very intersting, but simply didn't find the time. Did you know for example that al-kindi is the father of cryptanalysis? [1] Jidan 20:54, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunatly, all I have is google. One very good website is this http://www.muslimphilosophy.com/kindi/index.html. Jidan 12:34, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Ibn al-Nadim quotation

Hi Alexander, no problem. BTW, I am planing on adding more on his science accomplishments this evening, can you delay the submitting of the article for a peer review at least till tomorrow? Thanks. Jidan 11:56, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Al-Kindi and..

Hi Alexander. Good effort in that article. Please see the article's talk page for a small issue. By the way, the barnstar above is the E=MC2 barnstar, not the Tireless Contributor Barnstar, so you might wanna change that. Cheers. :-) ← ANAS Talk? 12:47, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Don't mention it. I am done. Please see the talk page. ← ANAS Talk? 13:57, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
My pleasure. Glad to help, Alexander. Good luck improving the article. :-) ← ANAS Talk? 16:42, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Al-Kindi and Science

I just added some info regarding his notable accomplishments in science. I am sorry I couldn't do it earlier, I am really busy in real life ;( Jidan 00:16, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh Thank you, same thing to you! BTW, I read the comment above by ANAS, as far as I know, the E=MC2 barnstar is for contributions regarding to science, and the Tireless Contributor Barnstar, is as the name says, for tireless contributions. Now, since you were editing a science related article, and tiressly, I thought a combination of both, the E=MC2 star and tirelss Contributor title were right. Also, I don't know of any standards for barnstars (checkout for example the barnstars this guy has [2]. In any case:
The Tireless Contributor Barnstar
For contributing immensely to the article Al-Kindi.

WOW...thanks man for the barnstar!! Jidan 01:04, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You are doing a great job alex. Jidan 19:30, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I used the automated peer-review and this is what came up, you can work on these.

    • While additive terms like “also”, “in addition”, “additionally”, “moreover”, and “furthermore” may sometimes be useful, overusing them when they aren't necessary can instead detract from the brilliancy of the article. This article has 17 additive terms, a bit too much.
    • Vague terms of size often are unnecessary and redundant - “some”, “a variety/number/majority of”, “several”, “a few”, “many”, “any”, and “all”. For example, “All pigs are pink, so we thought of a number of ways to turn them green.”

Thanks for your message; no hard feelings. If you too think that this dislike of the normal transliteration is unwarranted, it's not too late to reverse it. I'm about to go to bed, but I'll get back to you tomorrow. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 00:01, 21 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
