I see you are probably already familiar with the consensus on

WP:KYIV spelling judging by this comment[1] but you are still continuing with this disruption, so I ask you to stop making such changes. Especially now that it has been made especially clear to you. Mellk (talk) 02:12, 28 December 2022 (UTC)[reply

Appreciate the mod work you do. Could you weight it on this - is it safe to refer to WP:UKROM for "Kyivan Rus" being the consensus spelling for wikipedia pages? Anamatv (talk) 00:42, 21 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This edit also looks like borderline vandalism. Mellk (talk) 02:13, 28 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Yes I can understand why it may appear this way. Nationality is not the same as Citizenship and the way it's applied to historical figures from the Russian Empire is not consistent with how the same information is presented about western European and North American historical figures.
Would you mind providing guidance as to the best practises with this matter of Nationality? Much appreciated!
When presenting information on Wikipedia, there is no consistency to how the "nationality" information is derived:
Pablo Picasso - born in Spain, almost entirety of his life spent in France, but he's Spanish painter "who spent most of his adult life in France"
James Naismith - a "Canadian-American of Scottish decent" - not only are both nationalities listed, but also his Scottish descent.
Salvador Dalí - a "Spanish surrealist artist", who was born in Catalonia to a family of a Catalonian federalist lawyer, but the page has no mention of his Catalan nationality. Anamatv (talk) 01:54, 21 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
