Agreed. Please keep in mind that this is not in any way a criticism of your site, but instead a reflection of the fact that Wikipedia is not a directory service. That aside, you are certainly welcome to contribute to articles. (While you mentioned you have certain restrictions based on your contract with About.com, that should not keep you from editing other subjects for example.)
