Disappearnce of Corrie McKeague

Why did you remove the comment about

McKeague
walking back to base? You have not explained in the edit summary why it was removed. Just saying you removed it is not good enough.

It adds credence to his normal behaviour in walking home on his own, therefore evidential that he did not intend to disappear. Explain please. Regards. The joy of all things (talk) 18:24, 4 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi sorry I didn't clarify. I have never edited on Wikipedia before. I think your write up is superb. The reason I edited is because Nicola has said that she felt he was capable of walking back but that in actual fact he had never done so. I can find the comment she made on the FB site if that helps but I am 100% sure that this is correct. Therefore whilst he may have attempted to walk back it was not something that be had done before.
Thanks
Sarah
Hi Blossomlr - when writing posts on talk pages, they need to be indented with a colon first. I have added one to your first response and my response has two so that each thread spaces in slightly when written.
See this link EADT - I never said that his mother said he walked home - the police said it after confirming with his mates on the squadron. Unfortunately, Facebook is not reliable and is not suitable as a reference. The link that I have given to East Anglian Daily times is. Regardless of what his mother may have said (or not said), if he did the journey before, then it demonstrates his habit of behaviour, thereby reinforcing the prospect that he did not disappear voluntarily. If you are family of the McKeagues, you should not be editing this page anyway because of
WP:COI
.
That said, I hope you stick around and contribute.
Unless you can find a good reason for not keeping the walking bit out, I will re-insert it. Regards and welcome! The joy of all things (talk) 21:39, 5 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
(PS - don't feel upset. Sometimes editors disagree and if we can work together, most things can be overcome. It is an encyclopedia and as such good stuff has to accompany the bad stuff. We just present the facts. Perhaps you can come up with something that demonstrates him walking home has never occurred before and prove the police statement as inaccurate...?)
(PPS - to get your usename to appear on these pages instead of your own name (Sarah), type in four tildes as your last thing. The Tilde is the wavy line on the right of your keyboard that shares a button with the # key. Regards. The joy of all things (talk) 21:39, 5 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the reply. I'm not upset at all. I will look for a more reliable source than discussion on FB;) I don't really know what I'm doing even attempting to edit as I don't know how to do it... thanks for your help though. Blossomslr (talk) 22:00, 5 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

sorry forgot the colon:) Blossomslr (talk) 22:01, 5 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
If you need advice; just ask. I am off to bed now, but I will online again tomorrow. Regards. The joy of all things (talk) 22:36, 5 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
