Hey, I figured I ought to write the entire speech made by Victor Hugo on Voltaire. It wouldn't break any copyright infringements. The speech was held in 1878. Is this allowed? Where can I read about all Wiki policy on these issues? Thanks!

Bmicomp, thanks, I had reported this at the 3RR page a few days ago and got no response [1]. This has gotten to be a more severe problem since and also extended to other articles and other actions than 3RR, that's why I think it's appropriate to list under vandalism. You and other users mysteriously both misspelled User as Oser. Sorry, let me explain myself. I usually assume that the user who wrote the article is most likely the sockpuppet. Seeing similarities between your and some of the other votes reinforced this belief that you were sockpuppeting. I appologize for coming off as acusatory though, that wasn't my reason for the comment. Regardless of whether or not you are sockpuppeting, seeing that this is a neologism, this will almost certainly be deleted. If you are or know of anybody who is sock/meatpuppeting, please let them know that this is a futile attempt to stuff the ballot box. Admins who close out the VfD discussion see through this sort of thing. Not to mention, VfD is not decided by merely how many people vote one way or the other. I never actually misspelled the word, and I don't really care if the page goes away. I can understand the skepticism and the likelihood of creators being the people to gather a gaggle of false support, but I still don't think it's appropriate to accuse anyone of it without more than coincidental (and, AFAIK, non-existent) misspellings. My user page explains that I created the article after some research into wikipedia policies, but before I discovered that neologisms typically violate the no original research tenet. Greetings! I'm afraid that we've had a bit of an edit conflict over the unfortunately named Cock pushup article. I had speedied it a matter of seconds before you went to all the trouble of making a nice VfD entry for it, thereby re-creating it. I do appreciate the sentiment, though, so much so that I speedied it again. It was a ridiculous article, but if you don't think it should have been deleted so precipitously, I'll understand. Hi, I'm involved in a situation and I was wondering if you could give me some advice. I am involved in a small content dispute over Congressional Black Caucus with User:Adam Carr. I have commented on the article's talk page that I thought it wasnt NPOV (i wasnt alone either), because the last two paragraphs are just, in my opinion, "blind priase" for the CBC and shameless promotion. User:Adam Carr will not even respond to my comments and whenever I try to removed the quotes in question, he reverts it. Recently I have tried adding the {{NPOV}} and leaving his paragraphs but he removed that too without discussion.

I am asking you because you seem to have a good grasp of how things work around here and it would be nice to have a trustworthy, non-involved person look at the situation.

Well, I took a look at it. It looks like he's responded to your message now. Also, I'd recommend leaving messages to a specific user on their user talk page, as they are notified of it the next time they visit a page on wikipedia. As far as the quote though, I took a look at it and had another user look at it too. The quote isn't very neutral, but I don't think it needs to be. If you were to say "The black caucus is a fantastic group" that is one thing, but if you say "Senator John Doe has said 'The black caucus is a postive... blah blah blah'" it is kind of a different story, because you're not representing it as fact. However, I don't think he should be removing the NPOV tag without discussing it. Also, try to add edit summaries so other users know what you're doing. Thanks for looking at that for me. If you have noticed, I have a bad habit of always forgetting edit summaries-lol but ill work on that. My objection to the quotes is that they are unnecessary. Oh course senators who are members of the CBC are going to say loads of nice things about it, but that is, by definition self promition and I dont think Wikipedia should be about that. Well, they seem to have completely changed the page in the last few minutes. Now it is an introduction to the product and a bunch of unformatted testimonials. You've mentioned that this is a secretive unit, and I think this secretive nature would preclude you from finding information about it. Thank you for reverting the anon's recent deletions of material on Katharine Hepburn. He has had some valuable suggestions for fixing some pieces of material that were incorrect, but he also insists on deleting factual material (like quotes, information on the A. Scott Berg book, and information on The Aviator, all of which are relevant and properly written). He's engaged me a tiny bit on the talk page (quite uncivilly I might add), but once I requested sourcing for the changes he was seeking, he stopped talking and started reverting again. Until he comes to talk, and sources his changes (and stops deleting things wholesale), I'm pretty much going to consider him a vandal. I've notice you have been reverting vandalism by vandals that are using open proxies. If you ever feel like checking for open proxies, you may want to try this site. It's really easy if you are using firefox, you can setup a keyword for http://www.completewhois.com/cgi-bin/rbl_lookup.cgi?query=%s, so when you type they keyword then the ip address e.g. 'ip x.x.x.x' (x.x.x.x being the ip address) it will show you those listings. No problem. One thing, if you do use that page to check for proxies, make sure to check the text of the red listings when they're there. It'll usually say "Simple http... Open proxy" or something of the sort when it's a proxy. Sometimes they have red listings just because they are dynamic ip addresses (like comcast ips, for example), and when that is the case it will say so next to the listing on that page. In other words, be careful not to assume it is a proxy just because it has red listings.
