Hey I just saw that you had some edits and comments to the page I am working on. I am trying add this article that gives a history, mission statement, and programs involved for a non profit scientific company.. I haven't completed the whole article yet because I wanted to get it going first, which I guess was a mistake publishing before it was finished..but on the other hand, i don't want to write the whole article just to have it deleted. What are some of the tips and rules of doing this ? also, i did create a user name for the same company and I just read that would cause a conflict as well..should i change that and start a new page? sorry to have so many questions, but as I mentioned, this is my first WIKI and still trying to learn the correct way to do this and abide by the rules. thanks FindingSpecies (talk) 17:41, 2 March 2015 (UTC)andrewFindingSpecies (talk) 17:41, 2 March 2015 (UTC)

come on man its an ERP people are using. Im the author of it. please approve. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rajeeshvengalapurath (talk • contribs)
- First of all, you should not be creating articles about things you have created. Please see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. Second, your ERP system does not appear to be notable. I have tried to search for it, but the only mention I found was your Facebook page. This strongly indicates that it is not notable. --Cgt (talk) 10:17, 5 March 2015 (UTC)

Government corruption should not be tolerated and future generations will want to know about Jean Hudson Boyd's racism, stupidity and corruption. Well meaning people like yourself are actually a disservice to truth when you try and censor it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.70.102.109 (talk) 18:58, 5 March 2015 (UTC)

Notability in question re: AirGo Design
We have documented references from several independent sources from industry conventions and the press. There is no conflict of interest whatsoever. It's common practice to have one of the company officers create and edit a company Wikipedia page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mpvenables (talk • contribs) 00:21, 21 March 2015 (UTC) Mpvenables (talk) 00:23, 21 March 2015 (UTC)mpvenables
- It may be common practice, but it is not a good or accepted practice. Please read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. --Cgt (talk) 00:26, 21 March 2015 (UTC)

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Configuration management may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Managing a conflict of interest re: BioAnalytics
CGT, Hope all is well on your end.
With regards to managing the conflict of interest on the proposed BioAnalytics page, even if I submit my COI on the page, will it still not be allowed? I read through the COI page you submitted on my page and I am a tad confused by the direct relationship and clarity of the page. It appears in certain instances it is acceptable to submit a page, while in other contexts it is not.
Speedy deletion nomination of BioAnalytics
On this note, I would just like to determine the acceptedness of the term notability. In drafting the page for BioAnalytics, I stuck to using 3rd party articles on the organization as per the advice of the guide. Is there a clarification as to why this was not sufficient?
I appreciate any and all help on these manners! Cheers, (Mcwillard (talk) 18:56, 14 September 2015 (UTC))
- @Mcwillard: Hi. For something to justify an article on Wikipedia, it must be "notable" (read more about the term here: Wikipedia:Notability). Notability is about importance of the subject, not the quality of the article written about it. Using third party sources therefore does not make a subject notable. The reason why I nominated your article for speedy deletion is that the article did not appear to describe anything that would make the company notable (something significant that would make it stand out for someone with no association or interest in the company). Furthermore, I noticed that you may be associated with the company, wherefore you have a conflict of interest and are not fit to judge its notability. People who have are heavily involved in something usually have a skewed view of its importance. That's completely understandable, but it's important to keep in check on Wikipedia because most readers are not so involved in it. Generally, if something is notable, someone without a conflict of interest will, eventually, write an article about it. --Cgt (talk) 05:48, 15 September 2015 (UTC)
- Also, with regard to your question about COI: It's not explicitly disallowed, but generally you shouldn't do it. Creating an article about a company you co-founded is certainly stepping over the line. If you had just, say, corrected some statistic in a pre-exisiting article about your company and included a source, that might be okay, but because COI editors have a skewed viewpoint, it can be difficult for them to realize what is or is not appropriate. Therefore, it is best to avoid it entirely. --Cgt (talk) 05:56, 15 September 2015 (UTC)

Anarchocapitalism and "Far-right" politics
Indeed. No source presented. I notice you removed that category from the article 3 years ago and somone (didn't look who) put it back. If it gets put back agan, I think a source should be given for this claim, which does not occur once in the article. Tewdar 18:34, 1 May 2022 (UTC)
