Information icon Hello, I'm Secretlondon. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Secretlondon (talk) 11:20, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I've cited an article, not direct church records: Mara, Émile (1964). "L'origine et l'âme sardes de Jean-Paul Mara, dit Marat". Annales historiques de la Révolution française (175): 78–84.
It's not a reserach on church records done by myself. You can check the surname Trogu of his maternal grandmother being Sardinian and never having existed in Spain. So the claim that his family was of Spanish descent is certainly at least partially wrong, since he did have proven Sardinian ancestors, but him having Spanish ancestors is pure speculation at best, can you re-edit the page back? Your name makes it sound like you're adding information directly from church records, apologies. If a reference contradicts information provided by another one you can't just remove the old information. You need to integrate it in some way. I presume the other reference in that paragraph make a different claim. Secretlondon (talk) 15:04, 29 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
